To raise awareness in the Waialua and Greater North Shore Community by focusing on the meanings of “Organic,” “Local” and “Locavore” and how these are associated with sustainable foods, farming practices and community.  The goal is to help families make healthy, informed choices within their local neighborhood and beyond.


This is a Les Dames d’Escoffier Hawaii Chapter “Green Table” event in partnership with Waialua HS Culinary class and Project Localize.  This will also be part of the 2nd annual instagram photo contest. “Know your farmer, know your food.” There will be food, cooking demos with recipes, exhibits, demonstrations and activities for keiki’s showcasing community farmers, ranchers and food vendors. Les Dames members/chefs and culinary students will present recipes and snacks that are healthy, nutritious and ono.
