Okonokai (ōh-kō-nō-kah-ee) Sea Snacks capture the essence of the ocean, with crave-worthy snacks made with Hawaiian seaweed grown from ice-cold Kona water from 3000 feet below the ocean’s surface. We are inspired by the golden age of limu…a time you could wade into the Pacific ocean and lush, pristine sea greens swirled about your ankles.
We use Kona-grown limu (seaweed) to make our ʻono snacks and seasonings. The limu imparts a naturally umami flavor, high in fiber, anti-oxidants, and vital minerals. We’re proud to hand-make all of our limu snacks in small batches, right here on Oahu.
Okonokai Sea Crunchies are our take on the perfect Furikake: every crunchy bite is a taste of the deep Kona sea, with a nice savory kick. You can add Limu Furikake to your bowl of rice, saimin, or ramen. Top your eggs, add it to ice cream – basically, put it on anything and everything.
